Activity licensing and legalisations

Any economic activity carried out in a commercial unit or industrial building - from a shop to a workshop or a small farm - generally requires an activity licence confirming that its use and installations comply with applicable regulations. This service covers both processing new licences, with or without associated construction works, and legalising installations or extensions already built without the corresponding authorisation, including the regularisation of dwellings built outside the planning framework.

How we work

The process starts with a visit to the premises or installation to check its actual condition against the applicable sector and planning regulations. We then draft the required project or technical report - which, where works are involved, also follows Galicia's Land Law and local planning regulations - prepare the documentation required by the local council or competent authority, and follow the file through the whole administrative process until the licence or legalisation certificate is obtained.

What the engagement includes

  • Activity licences, with or without works
  • Legalisation of existing works and installations
  • Certificates for regularising dwellings
  • Drafting of projects and technical reports
  • Processing and follow-through with the administration
